Thank you for your comment. The title of this post has "why is it so hard to get a software engineering job?", in quotes, because it was the name of the Quora post referenced. To say that it is not hard and that many applicants are doing something incorrectly (not applying to enough positions, or maybe not coming across well during interviews) is a perfectly valid response, but a topic that I think is worth discussing.
